Maharashtra landscape photos to promote Maharashtra tourism through scenic landscapes
Lonavla-Khandala is a very famous hill station around 65 kms from Pune in the direction towards Mumbai. It marks the boundary of the Sahyadri mountain ranges with the Khandala ghat section being the area with deep valleys. It has many amazing scenic points including forts such as the Rajmachi fort which is around 10 kms trek away from Khandala area. It is also home to many celebrity bungalow houses and villas. India's first express-way connecting Mumbai-Pune passes through it giving breathtaking views of the surrounding valley areas. It also has Duke's nose, a tall vertical stone cliff where rock climbers like to practice their rock climbing and rappling skills.
