Maharashtra landscape photos to promote Maharashtra tourism through scenic landscapes
Pavna is a town around 50 kms from Pune towards the direction of Mumbai next to Lonavla area. It is formed by the Pavna dam and its backwaters. It is surrounded by the Tung fort peak which forms a magnificent structure in the evening during sunset looking like a bird spreading its wings on the two sides. The Pavna area is home to many famous forts such as Lohgad, Visapur, Tung, and others which are very close by. Pavna has lots of camping activity related clubs and you can do trekking on the hills around. You can approach it from different directions depending on your intention of travel and the scenery expectation. One of the best scenic routes is the road connecting the Lonavla Amby valley area with the Pavna town passing right underneath the Tung fort area.
